Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 30, 2026. Operated by: Husband.LLC.

Who this applies to

Bookie ("the application") is a private bookkeeping tool operated by and for Husband.LLC. It is not a public or multi-tenant service. The only data subject is Husband.LLC and its owners.

What we access

With your authorization through Intuit's OAuth process, Bookie accesses the Husband.LLC QuickBooks Online company data necessary to perform bookkeeping: chart of accounts, vendors, transactions, and financial reports. Bookie reads this data and writes categorizations and journal entries back to QuickBooks Online.

How we use it

Data is used exclusively to categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, generate financial reports, and prepare a year-end package for the company's accountant. It is not sold, shared, or used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond bookkeeping for Husband.LLC.

How we store and protect it

Access tokens and financial data are stored on a private server controlled by Husband.LLC, with file permissions restricted to the operator account, encrypted in transit (TLS), and never committed to source control. Access requires multi-factor-protected credentials.

Retention and deletion

Financial records are retained for seven years to meet tax recordkeeping requirements, then deleted. You may revoke Bookie's access at any time from the QuickBooks Online "Connected apps" settings, which immediately ends all access.

Third parties

Bookie connects to Intuit QuickBooks Online (the source of the data) and to Anthropic's Claude API (to assist with categorization decisions). No other third parties receive the data.
